Designed by LYCS Architecture, the mainstructure of No. 5 experimental school in Quzhou Smart New City is nearing completion this month.Taking advantage of the difference in terrain of the site, the design makes use of a double first floor spatial strategy to create a large sunken courtyard, four semi-enclosed courtyards and a number of small-scale courtyards. In this way, the design aims at creating a “landscaped school” that blends with the topography.
