


Harvard GSD China Trip Keynote Speech- "Encountor Next Desgin"
Jan. 12, 2016, the keynote speech “Encounter next design” was successfully held by Harvard Graduate School of Design(GSD), LYCS Architecture and PINWU. Every year, GSD would choose about twenty elite students to participate in the “China Trip”. Hangzhou as a stop of the China Trip this year, the students came here to take participation in this speech, talking about the the future trend of design with great designers from various fields.
Totally 7 guest speakers shared their understanding of the topic “Encounter next design”, and communicated with the audience. First speaker, RUAN Hao, the founder of LYCS Architecture, shared his understanding of accompanying growth of design on the aspects of iteration, media effect, focusing on users and long-term investment. His speech ignited discussion among the audience. This activity attracted more than 200 people including teachers, designers and students. We except to explore the possibility of future design, and bring into the participators new inspirations through the communication between oriental and Western culture just like this activity we hold.
