
Winner of AZURE Magazine's 2012 AZ Awards
Big names of the international architectural and design community recently gathered at Toronto's Thompson Hotel as AZURE Magazine revealed the winners of its second annual AZ Awards, the only international, multi-disciplinary design competition in Canada. Representing a global snapshot of the world of architecture and design, submissions were open to designers, architects, firms and manufacturers of all disciplines, as well as students in these fields.
Prior to the announcing ceremony, 60 designers and architects were chosen as finalists of Azure's second annual AZ Awards from 621 entries from 30 countries. Among 14 categories, LYCS Architecture was under “Interiors – Commercial & Institutional” section and was voted as the winner of “By People's Choice”.
The jury composed of Imola Bérczi of UNStudio (who replaced Ben van Berkel), Jeffrey Bernett of Consultants for Design Strategy, Elaine Cecconi of Cecconi Simone, Jennifer Guthrie of Gustafson Guthrie Nichol, Mike Keilhauer of Keilhauer and Brigitte Shim of Shim-Sutcliffe Architects.
